Lathyrus is an economically important genus, with different parts of some species used as foodstuff or animal feed. In this study, phytochemical compositions and bioactivities brachypterus var. brachypterus, L. haussknechtii, nivalis subsp. sahinii tefennicus taxa which are endemic to Türkiye were investigated. Total phenolic flavonoid contents (TPC, TFC) methanolic extracts detected. Then, compositions, antioxidant features (radical scavenging (DPPH: 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl, ABTS: 2,2′-azino-bis(3 ethylbenzothiazoline) 6 sulfonic acid), reducing power (FRAP:Ferric ion power, CUPRAC:Cupric capacity), metal chelating activity (MCA), the phosphomolybdenum assays (PDA)) enzyme inhibitory properties also determined. The highest values found at for TPC, haussknechtii TFC. seen in DPPH, ABTS, FRAP, CUPRAC PDA assays, while extract MCA. was tyrosinase glucosidase AChE (acetylcholinesterase), BChE (butyrylcholinesterase) amylase. Finally, a taxonomic evaluation made by considering phytochemicals.

Traditionally Used Lathyrus Species: Phytochemical Composition, Antioxidant Activity, Enzyme Inhibitory Properties, Cytotoxic Effects, and in silico Studies of L. czeczottianus and L. nissolia
Members of the genus Lathyrus are used as food and as traditional medicines. In order to find new sources of biologically-active compounds, chemical and biological profiles of two Lathyrus species (L. czeczottianus and L. nissolia) were investigated. Chemical profiles were evaluated by HPLC-ESI-MSn, as well as by their total phenolic and flavonoid contents. In addition, antioxidant, enzyme inhi...
Antioxidant properties and phytochemical characteristics of extracts from Lactuca indica.
Lactuca indica (Compositae) is an edible wild vegetable, used as a folk medicine in anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and other medications in Asia. This is the first scientific evaluation of the chemopreventive therapeutic properties of L. indica using five antioxidation assay systems. An extract from L. indica was found to possess significant free radical scavenging activity, effectively prot...

Enzyme Inhibitory Properties, Antioxidant Activities, and Phytochemical Profile of Three Medicinal Plants from Turkey
We aimed to investigate the inhibitory potential of three medicinal plants (Hedysarum varium, Onobrychis hypargyrea, and Vicia truncatula) from Turkey against key enzymes involved in human pathologies, namely, diabetes (α-amylase and α-glucosidase), neurodegenerative disorders (tyrosinase, acetylcholinesterase, and butyrylcholinesterase), and hyperpigmentation (tyrosinase). The antioxidant pote...
